Making a Difference
Over the years, the artists at The Red Poppy Design Studio have adopted many animals from shelters or taken in strays to give them a home. Oftentimes these animals became our most cherished family members. In honor of the love we have received from those animals here now and those who we've laid to rest, we decided to donate 10% of the proceeds from our portraits to 1 of 4 animal rescues/programs. And YOU get to choose who it goes to.
We've vetted each rescue/program to make sure that 100% of what we donate goes directly to the animals' care and wellbeing. Below are donation profiles of the places we will be donating to. We are so happy to give back; to help find forever homes and help those in need of a service animal.
Don't forget to use #DonatedRedPoppy if you post a picture of your portrait! Be proud - you made a difference!
Eleventh Hour Rescue
11th Hour Rescue is a no-kill shelter based out of multiple locations - the most well known being The Rockaway Mall. They take in animals from all walks of life, as well as those who would be euthanized at other shelters. Their adoption process ensures they will go to a wonderful home and they take into consideration the needs of the animal before allowing them to be adopted.
P.A.W.S.
P.A.W.S. or Pound Animal Welfare Society of Montclair has received multiple awards for the wonderful work they've done as a no-kill shelter. For over 39 years they've helped their community find homes for stray dogs and cats. They focus on educating people about spaying, neutering, and reducing the use of puppy mills or other inhumane practices.
